Curaden Czech s.r.o. – our carbon footprint summary

Carbon footprint overview:

- For 2018 carbon emissions of Curaden Czech amounted to 99.46 tonnes of CO2e.

In 2018, only manual toothbrushes were included in the calculation on a pilot basis.

- For 2019 our carbon emissions amounted to 324.69 tonnes CO2e.

Our sales stands and other product groups (toothbrushes, toothpastes) have been included in the calculation for 2019.

- For 2021 our carbon emissions amounted to 363.26 tonnes CO2e.

Greenhouse gas emissions are dominated by disposal of products sold (used toothbrushes and tubes from used toothpaste), as well as operation of company vehicles.

Offset projects:

In autumn 2019, we actively and financially participated in the implementation of the offset project “Extension of the centenary tree plantation in the village of Rybníky (Příbram district)” in cooperation with CI2, o. p. s.

In 2020, we provided contributions to 3 offset projects with a total value of 245,706 CZK and thus offset 324,695.922 t CO2e:

Planting of long-lived trees in the Czech landscape worth CZK 104,982 – offsetting 174,970 kg CO2e
Linden tree plantation, Hrochův Týnec worth CZK 71,601 – offsetting 77,861.027 kg CO2e
Planting of trees in the Žár, Božejov, Žumberk intravillage worth CZK 69,123 – offsetting 71,864.895 kg CO2e

In 2022, we supported the planting of 188 trees within 4 offset projects with CZK 497,761 – offsetting 363.37 t CO2e

Our Path to Carbon Neutrality

Offsetting our carbon footprint by planting trees

Every year, we at Curaden Czech s.r.o. have the size of our own carbon footprint measured and we financially support the planting of long-lived deciduous trees. During their life cycle, these trees absorb the same amount of carbon dioxide released by our operations and the potential disposal of used toothbrushes.

By taking these steps, Curaden Czech s.r.o. is becoming carbon neutral.
